One place, one date and two conferences where industry meets science

PERMEA 2016 - Membrane Science and Technology Conference of Visegrad Countries

membrane and electromembrane processes

15-19 May 2016 - Prague - Czech Republic

Dear Colleagues,

It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to the international scientific conference Membrane and Electromembrane Processes MELPRO 2014 organised by Czech Membrane Platform and Institute of Macromolecular Chemistry of Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. Recently conferences focused on the membrane processes has been organised in many countries around the globe. They offer, in most of the cases, rich and interesting program reflecting on the significance and perspectives of membrane processes in many industrial branches. Unfortunately, in fairly prevailing majority of these events no or just inadequately small attention is being paid to the electromembrane processes as an important part of the membrane processes. The MELPRO 2014 conference is aiming to fill this gap by targeting this particular segment. The conference goal is to present recent advances in electromembrane processes and in the integrated processes involving at least one electromembrane step. The attention will be devoted to the electromembrane separation just as power engineering application. This means presentation of solutions of real problems and of the electromembrane applications close to realisation.

As the above mentioned points state, high attention will be paid not only to electromembrane but also to the integrated processes. It is because the integrated processes represent base for solution of complex technological demands. The conference vision can thus be summarised as follows:

  • Involvement of the academic as well as industrial sphere
  • Increased attention to the integrated processes with high potential for industrial application
  • Providing a sufficient space for presentation of the research work performed by students and young researchers in the field of electromembrane and integrated processes.

  • Materials for Electromembrane Processes
  • Electromembrane Separation and Synthesis Processes
  • Electromembrane Processes for Energy Conversion
  • Process Design and Mathematical Modeling
  • Integrated Membrane Processes and Industrial Applications
  • General Session

We are looking forward to welcoming specialists at this event who are working in this interesting field, as well as engineers looking for the solution for their technological problems, or participants interested in obtaining information about actual development and challenges in the branch of electromembrane and integrated membrane processes.
